Steve Kennedy, AIA

As founding partner, Steve leads the technical practice of the firm. Working as an integrated and collaborative partner alongside Jim Richärd, he guides the conceptual design to realization, ensuring full integration of building systems into coordinated construction documents, resulting in even the most complex projects being completed on time and on budget without compromising design intent. With nearly forty years of practice, Steve possesses expertise on public and institutional projects including diplomatic campuses, research labs, classroom buildings, higher education facilities, and public libraries.

Steve has been integral in forming relationships with leading contractors and engineers in his home state of Arizona and internationally. His collaborative approach ensures fully coordinated constructability reviews, accurate estimates, and value engineering. Steve is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. With Steve’s leadership, the firm has received international recognition and numerous awards. In 2013, the firm was recognized as Firm of the Year by AIA Arizona.
