Best Overall: Richärd Kennedy Architects Wins Top Honor in Phoenix ADU Competition
RICHÄRD KENNEDY ARCHITECTS was honored to be recognized as Best Overall in the City of Phoenix Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Competition. We are proud to play a part in this bold step forward for Phoenix; contributing sustainable, community-centered affordable housing solutions.
The firm's design concept was recognized as Best Overall in the City of Phoenix Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Design Competition, organized by AIA Phoenix Metro in partnership with the City of Phoenix and AIA Arizona.
The winning proposal presents a flexible, sustainable, and community-centered solution designed to address the city’s growing need for affordable housing. The design has been selected for inclusion in the City’s new Standard Plans Library, providing homeowners with an accessible and pre-approved pathway to build ADUs on their property.
The ADU Design Competition reflects the City of Phoenix’s commitment to expanding housing options and increasing density through innovative design. We are honored to support this bold step forward for the city and its residents.
